Acceptable Use Policy

1. Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the rules for using the ETSS platform. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to comply with this policy. ModelLaw Limited reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

2. Permitted Use

You may use ETSS to:

  • Manage your own Employment Tribunal cases
  • Draft legal documents for cases you are authorised to work on
  • Track deadlines and case progress
  • Store documents related to your cases
  • Generate cross-examination scripts and skeleton arguments
  • Calculate compensation and schedules of loss

3. Prohibited Use

You must NOT:

  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Access or attempt to access another user's account or data
  • Upload malicious files, viruses, or harmful code
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the platform
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy the platform's software
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Use the platform to harass, threaten, or defame any person
  • Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights
  • Misrepresent your identity or professional qualifications
  • Use a false SRA number, Bar number, or professional registration
  • Resell or redistribute access to the platform
  • Overload the platform with excessive requests (denial of service)

4. Professional Users

Solicitors and Barristers must:

  • Provide a valid SRA or BSB registration number
  • Only access cases for which they have proper authority or instructions
  • Comply with their regulatory body's code of conduct
  • Maintain client confidentiality when using the platform

5. Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for all content you upload or create on the platform. ETSS does not review, verify, or endorse user-generated content. Documents generated by the platform are drafts that must be reviewed by you before submission to any tribunal.

6. Enforcement

If we determine that you have violated this policy, we may:

  • Issue a warning
  • Temporarily suspend your account
  • Permanently terminate your account
  • Report the matter to relevant authorities (including the SRA, BSB, or law enforcement)

We will act proportionately and, where possible, give you notice and an opportunity to address the issue before taking action.

7. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any misuse of the platform, please report it to: support@modellawoffice.co.uk
