Modern Slavery Statement

Financial year ending 2026

1. Introduction

This statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. ModelLaw Limited (Company No. 13064755), trading as ETSS, is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all its forms within our business and supply chain.

While ModelLaw Limited is not currently required to publish this statement (the statutory threshold is £36 million annual turnover), we choose to do so voluntarily as a demonstration of our commitment to ethical business practices.

2. Our Business

ModelLaw Limited operates ETSS, a cloud-based SaaS platform providing Employment Tribunal case management tools. We are a UK-registered technology company with a small team. Our business is entirely digital — we do not manufacture physical goods or operate physical supply chains.

3. Our Supply Chain

Our supply chain consists exclusively of digital service providers:

  • Amazon Web Services (infrastructure — US-listed company)
  • Stripe (payment processing — US-listed company)
  • Vercel (web hosting — US company)
  • SendGrid/Twilio (email — US-listed company)
  • OpenAI (AI services — US company)

All suppliers are established technology companies subject to their own modern slavery obligations and reporting requirements.

4. Our Policies

We have the following policies in place to mitigate the risk of modern slavery:

  • All personnel are paid at or above the National Living Wage
  • We do not use unpaid internships or exploitative labour practices
  • We conduct due diligence on new suppliers before engagement
  • We maintain a whistleblowing process for reporting concerns

5. Risk Assessment

Given the nature of our business (digital SaaS, UK-based, small team, digital-only supply chain), we assess the risk of modern slavery within our operations and supply chain as low. However, we remain vigilant and will review this assessment annually.

6. Reporting Concerns

If you have concerns about modern slavery in relation to our business, please contact: etss@modellawoffice.co.uk

You can also report concerns to the Modern Slavery Helpline: 08000 121 700

7. Approval

This statement has been approved by the director of ModelLaw Limited and will be reviewed and updated annually.
