Accessibility Statement

Last updated: July 2026

1. Our Commitment

ModelLaw Limited is committed to making ETSS accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We aim to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. As our platform serves Litigants in Person — many of whom may have disabilities that are central to their claims — accessibility is a core design principle, not an afterthought.

2. What We Do

  • Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy
  • Sufficient colour contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for text)
  • Keyboard navigation support throughout the platform
  • ARIA labels on interactive elements
  • Form labels associated with their inputs
  • Responsive design that works on all screen sizes
  • Clear, plain-English language (particularly for LiP guidance)
  • Focus indicators on interactive elements

3. Known Limitations

We are aware of the following areas where accessibility could be improved:

  • Some dynamically generated documents may not be fully screen-reader optimised
  • Complex data tables (disclosure schedule, timeline) may require additional navigation support
  • The live chat widget may have limited screen reader compatibility

We are actively working to address these issues.

4. Assistive Technology

ETSS has been designed to work with:

  • Screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver)
  • Screen magnification software
  • Speech recognition software
  • Keyboard-only navigation
  • Browser zoom (up to 200%)

5. Feedback

If you experience any accessibility barriers while using ETSS, please contact us:

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 business days and resolve issues within 30 days where possible.

6. Enforcement

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory Support Service (EASS) at equalityadvisoryservice.com or the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC).
